Hi Noelene and Sue,
Lovely poem that sums up the journey of lace so well. Congrats.
Sue, having learnt lace late I wish I could still say another 25 years
of this wonderful Journey!
Enjoy,

I love the poem, Sue. It is very clever. Thank you for sharing.
We had a nice, but quiet, Christmas, and I would like to take this
opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New year, and all the best for 2012.
I made lace, - of course!!, and have my little travel pillow with me - with
an Early lace
I seem to remember from long past that someone posted a poem about striver pins
and how to use them. Is this part of my imagination or was such a poem on our
List? Does anyone have one?
For newbies who've never heard of a Striver Pin, it's a regular small pin that
has some tiny beads on it
Oooh I never knew that, and I found it very interesting, so thanks for
explaining it so well.
I have bought and seen lace with little threads attached to the side, could
that have been for similar reasons?

While googling 'holland lace', I found this. Enjoy.

758. Old Flemish Lace
By Amelia Walstien Carpenter
A LONG, rich breadth of Holland lace,
A window by a Flemish sea;
Huge men
I've really got better things to do this morning than this, but
thinking about our new members, I started (and I think
finished) this:
For Newbies.
It caught my eye right from the start
Come and see me, come and see!
A pillow full of thread and pegs
All tossed about so gleefully.

Bravo, Bravo -Nolene,

Noelene,
That poem was wonderful and enjoyed reading it. Clay is right, you need to
get published.
Clay,
illustration is what I am best at, aside from tatting. It is my livlihood
and I do at work everyday. Would love to do illustrations of Noelene's
poems if she gets published. Nice joint
AHA ! See Noelene! We've got you a great illustrator! Now
