Well to start with Point de Gaze is a needle lace whereas torchon is
bobbin lace. NL takes longer to work than a comparable BL. Whoever
had 6000+ dollars to spare got a bargain terms of cents per hour!
Brenda - who doesn't have 6000+ dollars to spend on lace :-(

WOW!! I'm gobsmacked VBG. I am dazzled, I've poured over the pictures -
I don't often put eBay auction items on Lace, but this one is worth a
look. The auction is over, but you can still click on the web address and
take it look. It sold for over $6000.
It is a full, long, trained skirt from a hundred years ago or more.
Wow, this is so far removed from torchon that I have no idea as to how
long it would have taken to execute but ... wow.
