We are down to the last week for sign ups for the card exchange but don't
worry if you are a day or so behind. I will make it happen. Just contact
me (*linhud...@gmail.com *) and it will be worked
out. Also, if you are delayed in mailing your card to your partner, let
your partner and myself know so we can take the worry out of the wonderful
anticipation. This is to be FUN not a job or chore and your imagination
and effort will be most welcome and appreciated. I will be sending out the
exchange partner pairings a day or so after signups stop - no later than
9/10 but sooner if able. I am always anxious to know who will be getting
my card and what far away place from which I will be receiving mail. But
if you were on holiday or didn't see the announcement until the last minute
- join in anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I believe there is
time to get a card made and in the mail by December 1st.
As a reminder, this year the schedule will go like this:
August 14-
September 7 Sign Ups
September 10 Exchange partner assignments to be made and
emailed out
December 1All cards hopefully will be in the mail
Please send me your name, snail mailing address, email address, how many
card(s) you wish to make and any geographical location(s) you prefer, if
any. Thank you. After making your card(s) please take a picture and email
directly to Jenny Brandis (je...@brandis.com.au) who once again is a dear
wonder and will be posting all on her web site. If you wonder if your
partner was able to send in a photo of her card to you, just send a photo
upon receipt and Jenny will make sure everyone is represented. We will be
following up to make sure we get photos of all of them so if you think you
will have a problem, just let me know. Thanks.
Jenny has updated all the patterns submitted to her on the bookmark, motif
and card exchange web pages. If you submit your pattern to her, I am sure
she will be most happy to add that to the accumulation from over the
years. These are much appreciated for inspiration and eye candy. Thank
you for sharing.
If this is your first time, you are going to have lots of pleasant
enjoyment. If you have been doing this for years, you know how much fun it
can be. Any type of lace and pattern is appropriate. Any skill level is
welcome. This is "creative license" at its best. Don't be shy - shine.
May the lace bug bite for lots of fun.
Hugs, Lin and the Mali
