It's a good idea, Jeri, but would it work in practice? National/International lace days tend to be times when lacemakers try to get out to demonstrate and be seen by the public, and are usually chosen for times of year when the weather may be favourable so that sitting outside is feasible.

If you look it up on Google, it is shown as September 29 for 2018. I agree if it really going to be celebrated as International, then one date should be chosen. However, to make lace outside to attract public attention, one date doesn’t necessarily work for the whole world as summer here, is
