Laurie, and others with a lacy catalogue
As Tamara complained her database was too clever with sorting names, I just
discovered Excel (and perhaps databases too) is too clever with numbers to
be convenient for ISBN's. If spaces or dots happen to be every 3rd position,

Hello Everyone
I would like to ask how any of you get rid of threads at the end
of a piece of lace.
At present I am making squares in DMC 80. I have tried plaiting and darning.
The first left a thick line and the darning just does not look neat.
My next thought is knot and put a dot
I cut very close after I have left the lace and the knots to 'settle' for a

I would urge caution with Fray Check. In the past on
this list, people have reported that Fray Check spots
change color after several years. This spoiled the
look of the lace. Explore the other options that do
not include putting a chemical on your lace.

To clear some misunderstanding: it wasn't my intention to ask for help, I
justed wanted to warn others. I do know how to solve the disappearing
leading zero from isbn's and other date/number scrambling. I just still get
surprised now and then, because I forget to take countermeasures to
