This idea of using multiple threads for gimps has been around for quite a few
years. I was first told about it in the early 80s by Alex Stillwell and indeed
used it in 1985 when I worked a tray cloth and didn't have the appropriate gimp
to hand.

We had our Arachne lunch at the IOLI convention today. Â There was inexpensive
food for purchase in one half of the ballroom and a second private half of the
ballroom was reserved for Arachne. Â I think it was our largest one ever with
probably 35 to 40 ladies present. Â We had a fun free raffle
Arachne does create good friends, about the same time as David I joined
Arachne and met a beginner who needed help and so started a friendship to
this day. It was Susie Johnson from Ilinois , they have been here to visit
and she is now my other Sister. Thank you Arachne.

 Many thanks to Amber Lackey for my beautiful bobbin bookmark! It was
certainly well worth the wait and I love it!! The card was rather
appropriate too - I do love Winnie the Pooh - before Disney took a hold :)
