[lace] Lace Magazine

2017-07-31 Thread Janice Blair
My Lace magazine arrived today. The plastic holder had been cut open and the
cover address page had written "Opened in Error" on it. We have had problems
with mail being delivered to other homes in the area since we moved here 3
years ago. I think the person who received it decided it looked interesting,
maybe it was the lace birds on the cover. Hope they enjoyed looking through
it, now it is my turn.

The paintings are monotype, so not just paint slapped on canvas. I really
like them too! They are a stimulating contrast to the lace. What an
interesting exhibit.

Thank you to Jeanette for posting the link.

Hi,

I am with Agnes. Glorious lace, but I do not like the paintings. Only me
personal feelings, as there will be many people who like them.

Pierre Fouche is an artist living in Cape Town, South Africa. One of the
mediums he works in, is bobbin lace. He is exhibiting his work at the
moment in Cape Town. Here is a link to the exhibition. There are about
five works in lace and the other works is in diferent art forms. I went to
see the exhibition and the lace is beautiful.

Got to disagree with you on that Agnes. I think the lace is superb and love the
paintings especially the colours.
