Can anyone tell me about Pitsligo Lace? I met a woman, who said her son
had learnt this bobbin lace in Scotland, Pitsligo. He doesn't live in
Parkes so I haven't any other information other than the mother thought
it originated from a Flanders lace.

Greetings all,
Santa has brought me a huge ornate frame to be used to frame my 2
Honiton collars. Do I leave the collars in their condition or
block/wash to mount on acid free mount board?

Dear All,
Happy new year!
I like to make pincushions stuffed with sheep wool, quite firmly.
The lanolin in the wool protects pins.
My favourites are small rectangular embroidered linen. I have a few heart
shaped ones, made as triangle with two points stitched together with extra loop
that can
Hello Vicki, I use a tall tripod type camping stool to hold my Honiton pillow.

A bit difficult to do a randomised control study on the roo whistles!
As to food allergies etc, how many of these people with allergies were
not breast fed? Considering since 2nd World War the incidence of
formula feeding skyrocketed until the 70's, it only takes one formula

Dear List,
This thread of red shoes reminds me of a shoe poem my husband learnt as
a child. All I can remember is:
Black shoes, flat shoes, stamp them on the mat shoes.
That's the sort of shoes they'd buy!
The young person in the poem wanted some strappy pointed toe shoes etc.

Dear All,
The mouse plagues that have occurred in the central west of NSW, during
my nursing experience have been particularly horrible.
Babies bassinets were stood in dishes of water to prevent mice running
up to join the babies in bed. A small country town did have a case of a
baby receiving

Hello Noelene and all,
Having grown up without electricity til I commenced nursing at 17years,
my recollections of kero lamps etc are not at all romantic.
One school project that I thought was beautifully drawn, in the light of
day was a disaster! Not to mention the kero and soot engrained hands
Some of Neil Keat's bobbins are made from wood from his daughter's farm
near Parkes.Home of The Dish movie. The farm is on the way to Forbes

delight to use, also has square ones.

Due to working I did not see any of Camilla's hats, there was some
discussion on Lace Digest about her hat having French lace on it. In
to-day's Sydney Morning Herald letters page, someone congratulated the
future queen of Australia establishing ties with Australia by wearing
an echidna!
