be there again this Christmas fair, he also makes the most beautiful mother
of pearl fansticks ( very expensive but believe me if I had the spare

has left me the latest catalogue, on page 130 what do I find - a lovely
spider brooch, it is silver plated and set with sparkly stones I am ordering
it straight away.

we called straw dollies which hung in the house and were made with the current
years straw and replaced the previous years dollies which were then burnt, I

Although I don't do a lot of needle lace I made a container for mine with a box
that Badminton shuttlecocks come in from the sports shop. I cut it so it was 9
long, Padded it slightly and covered it with cotton cover, you need only tuck
the ends inside as the cases come with metal ends that

By the way I got mine from the local library. I think there is no point to
buying books (other than lace of course) when I can borrow for free from the
library. I never read books twice so cannot see the point of loading my book

book A Visual Introduction to Bucks Point Lace I ended up with lots of little
lengths of lace which being me I did not want to just waste, so I made a

Hi to Australian Lacemakers, my son has just returned from a tour of Australia
mainly out of Perth. On his trip he came across a shop called The Lace Place
in small town called Hyden. he went in because he knew how I liked lace and
was surprised to find it was like a little museum of lace

finished Honiton tortoise sampler, 1 very large tablecloth edging ( just 10

skills to work it, now I feel able to I find that in my estimation it will take
200 plus pairs which means I will have o finish every project I have on the go

It's so nice to see so many Arachne members in one place, as I live in Norfolk
UK we don't have many Arachne members in the area, I know of only one and she

going down because they put the prices too high. But it was a blessing in
disguise, because before when I had a problem I just asked my tutor and she put

Have had a wonderful lace day at the Open Academy. The speaker was a lady by
the name of Louise West and the subject was from lace to concrete and boy
did she blow our minds. From taking up lace for City Guilds she progressed
through to design and actually designed some mind blowing

We have a book going at the Norfolk a lacemakers in which anyone can write down
hints and tips that they have found useful, and I wondered if we could do

I simply would not be without my Brenda Paternoster threads book it has saved
me pounds over the years because I can quickly see if I can substitute one of
the threads in my stash rather than buying new. It will pay for itself in no

Thank you Antje, I have just spent an enjoyable afternoon looking at
Bistrapisancheva.com . What an inspiration her bobbin lace is, as you said not
conventional but beautiful and very different makes me want to branch out and
try something vastly different to any lace I have ever made.
