I have visited Tonder Lace Festival many times. Each time I have booked
self catering accomodation which has been done through the tourist board and
has been successful.
Finding hotels can be difficult but do not dismiss private acc. Look it up
through Tonder and Romo tourist board

Just a little reminder that this Sunday, 20th. April, there is a contact day
for those living in the South of England...and any visitors to the country.

about Contact Day in the South.
Last year we had over 50 present so I hope to repeat or even better it. A
number have contacted me but I am still waiting to hear from others.

Hi, I was shocked to hear that Despina Koutsika has died so soon after the
Athens Congress.Someone had told me of her cancer.
The Athens Congress was really wonderful, both for lacemakers and non
lacemakers alike. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was well organised

I am preparing to take a party to Normandy in Sept. and have been consulting
with M. Bouvot re. visiting the collection of Polychrome lace of M. Le
Delezir.
I was aware the gentleman was ill, but have heard today that he died a week
ago last Friday.
At present it is not known what is to

the towns on the Lace Route.

wonderful painting of Swedish lacemakers in 1911.
