Please don't leave. I used to be on Arachne but it got not nice. I left. After many years I have come back. It isn't as much fun but if interesting people leave it will not get better and maybe fold. We need less drawn out fussing, more David emails and a bit of humor. Arachne is very dry now.

We at Biggins used to make and sell strivers. Short pins with seed beads covering most of the body. I was told by a very old lacemaker who,is no longer with us, that when lace was being made by families that was often ordered it was to check on and speed up the lacemaker who was slacking!

Yes we do offer laminates which are very popular. If you buy the Matt laminates in the right thickness you don't need to prick them. You go straight through the laminate. Also, for our customers we copy the pattern they are getting onto a pale yellow so, as if you had covered it with blue film,

Please don't be put off by being told it will be painful after. Not necessarily. I was a nurse involed with hip replacements and have many friends who have had them. Two friends have had both hips done. Only one complained of after pain, she also did not exercise and has not had a good result.
