The Chicago Area Lace Guild will be having a meeting Saturday, January 10th,
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Irving Park Free Methodist Church in Chicago, 3824
West Irving Park Road. See http://www.chicagoarealaceguild.com for
directions on how to get there.

The program will be on distinguishing differences between Honiton and
Duchesse bobbin lace, both stylistically and technically. I will start the
discussion. This will not be a formal lecture, but a discussion. Visitors
and guests are welcome. Bring a magnifier, any antique Honiton or Duchesse
lace which you may have, and samples or pieces of these laces that you have
made, books on these techniques that you have and maybe others may not have.
Also, any antique Brussels lace that you may have (for historical
development).

Bring lunch. We will provide coffee.
