Hi Liz Sadly I gave up international travelling a few years ago for the same reasons and I miss the conventions. However, I still treasure my goodie bags and contents. I still have goodie bag bobbins from the IOLI convention 1988. One is a pottery bobbin the other wooden that I later found out had been made by my friends husband. I added a spangle of terra cotta beads from the same goodie bag. The beads are irregular as home-made items tend to be; they were made to be enjoyed and they are both enjoyed and the time taken to make them is appreciated. Since then I have collected other goodie bag and their contents. These items all carry memories.
