I don't know about brilliant, but it works very well for me. The best part of the whole idea is having the notecards the same size and stored in the same place. My reference cards are 4x6", the size of a large index card or a photograph. I could store them in a card file box, but I prefer a small photo album so I can page through and see what braid I want to use next.
