Dear Miriam, I think I joined Arachne in 1998, not sure any more. I have met a lot of lace makers this way, visited them in their homes while travelling and made many new friends. I will always treasure the beautiful bookmark you made for me back around 2000. You even worked my name into it.\

Dear Friends, I joined Arachne in late 1995 and made lots of friends throughout the world. B I even visited their homes in Canada, Denmark, New Zealand and the UK This comment from Janice reminded me that I've often meant to tell you all that now that I am retired, if ever anyone wants to mind

Hi, Devon and fellow listmembers I just tuned into this thread. I joined Arachne sometime during its first year. I remember when someone downloaded the membership list from 'the major', and found we had reached a membership of 400! Most impressive, at the time. For a number of years, a

G'day Karen, I still have your most beautiful solid silver tatting shuttle which I'll treasure for life. I reckon I got that in 1996 and believe it was the first one you'd sold outside the USA. Nice to know you're still here too. David Downunder in Ballarat, AUS (No ranting/ravving/crying over

(No ranting/ravving/crying over the loss of the 'old Arachne' in this post!) I got involved with Arachne in the mid 90's, pretty close to it's arrival on the internet and it has been a vital part of my life for all these decades.  I'm a tatter and needlelacer and I can say I learned a lot about

Hi Jacqui Yes, I remember Pat's gavel! That was a very special Convention in Nottingham. It must have been about the same time as you that I joined Arachne. I also read about it in 'Lace'. I have remained a member all these years and it was wonderful to meet some Arachnids in Groningen

I can't remember when I joined, but I was on the Lace Guild Exec at the time; Sally Chapman told me about it. I did two stints, 1992-1995 as an ordinary exec member and 1996-1999 as Hon Sec. I don't remember the arachne convention in 1998 - probably had Exec business that evening. On 13

The list is 14 years old? Then I must be mistaken about when I joined. I guess those diapers were older than I thought! OK, I have to join the group that hasn't a clue, but I think it was probably at most 12-13 years that I've been on Arachne. Even with my housekeeping standards I can't imagine
