I recognized this within seconds. As neighbours to the USA, I have heard of this since my childhood. I don't remember if we studied it in school, but I knew the words _and_ the name of the Address and the speaker's name (see subject line). However, I am college educated, and a history buff, so maybe someone for whom history is a subject to be avoided at all costs may not have picked up on it.
