Depending on the workshops offered, I'm planning to go to that one
(passing up on the OIDFA in Greece <g>). In all the 30+ yrs here, I
have never been to Canada. Bit frightening, since it's Montreal, and my
French is limited to a few unprintable words (of the "pardon my French"
variety) and badly pronounced at that, but...
It would be lovely to - finally - meet you and Malvary in person;
that's cream on top :)
Oh, and about speaking French... :)
During the Liers workshop, Gret, whose first language is Flemish,
mentioned that, when she cursed, she cursed in French (Belgium is a
two-language country). And I cracked up. "Do you curse in French also?"
she asked me. "No" I said "I curse in English for everyday, and in
Polish for when I need really strong expression. But here, when we
curse, in whatever language, we say: 'pardon my French' ". So then she
cracked up...
