I had a crochet hook, a beautiful antique one with a sheath on the hook itself dated I think 1905. It was given to me as a gift from a secret pal, apparently someone decided that they liked it more than I, because it is gone. We have even moved from the house back into one of the apartments, it was not seen again. It was one of my most treasured gifts. To me, irreplaceable, such a lovely little thing. Much nicer than what is sold out there today. Just my two cents, I did enjoy the pictures of all the old hooks in that collection.
