If only there was somewhere like that within 25 miles of where I live.

Yes, I have access to most of those things within 25 miles, but not all under
one roof.

Within 10 miles there is Presencia UK (Finca threads and their own BL patterns
and pillows), a pretty good patchwork and quilting shop and a couple of shops
selling card making materials and a reasonably good range of fine art
materials.

Within the 25 mile radius there’s a Hobbycraft (big box store selling a large
range of craft items but if it’s not on the shelves finding a member of staff
who knows one one of a crochet hook from the other end of a paint brush is a
rarity) and a few shops with a limited range of sewing/dressmaking fabrics and
knitting yarns, including John Lewis department store. BUT, when you know
your crafts you know that there is so much more that might be available.
Unfortunately that’s why mail order is becoming such big business/

Sounds like an Aladdin's Cave Jeri - I wonder, do they do mail order
via web page?

Happy New Year to all,
Shirley T. - enjoying the cooler, damp weather which has helped to
control the bush fires north of our city.

I suppose you thought such stores had all closed in America. However, one
is still in operation about 25 miles north of my home. It is much more
fun than the mall's chain stores, because you'll get to know people working
there and they all know the products for sale.
