Fedora on ext3 with Grub installed to superblock (Bootable Fedora
partition) using OpenSolaris Grub (Mbr) to chainload will work.

I played around, and installed window, Fedora, then it failed on Solaris
installation, it said its grub is not compatible with other grub. so I think it
won't support solaris and Fedora at the same machine, unless do something else.
i don't have to time to play around, so only installed windows

I chose E6400(14.4'' LCD), because I don't like to carry a heavy laptop
everyday, while E6500 has 15'' LCD.
I picked, 2.8G CPU, privacy screen with Nvidia 160M, 250GB hard drive 4G 2-dimm
memory..
I like it a lot more compared to D610/D30, it is more like thinkpad. looks more
professional

Actually you probably don't want makeactive. It sets the partition
where Fedora is installed
add to menu.lst of Solaris
title Fedora
rootnoverify (hd0,#) <-- point to "/" of fedora, where GRUB was installed
makeactive
chainloader +1
The partition numbers for extended partitions are counted from 4, regardless of
the actual number of primary partitions on your hard disk, see before t
Hi guys, need some help here.
I got a new Dell E6400 laptop, and tried to install 3 OS, according to
someone's blog, I installed Xp, then Soalris, then Fedora 8.
After solaris installed, there is no problem booting up xp and solaris 10.
I was able to install fedora, do all it asks for, like LVM
