I'm not on the mailing list, and I apologize if this bug has already been mentioned. I just wanted to report it just in case.
I'm using FreeBSD (4.4-STABLE). I installed all of the required packages, including the latest DVIPS-5.76. I downloaded latex2html and ran ./configure. It hung on the line "checking for dvips...". After examining the config.pl script, and playing around with the dvips program, I discovered that running "dvips --version" results in dvips presenting an "Option:" prompt. So I ran ./configure one more time and when it hung, I just pressed enter, and configure finished up with no problems. Anyway, I hope this is helpful to somebody. If you want more info, contact me via direct email, not the list. Thanks! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Douglas Cook - mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Earth first!
