Hi Shaji,
The .changes should not be edited. You probably forgot to set the
distribution in the changelog file before building a source package
using "debuild -S.

I'm not an expert, but I made the same mistake and learned that only
source packages and be uploaded.
Use: debuild -S
Then dput the source.changes file
