I tried to update gtk library using Synaptic. It found 32 files to
update but on 30th file following messages appeared:

Are you building Lazarus for GTK 2 ?
IIRC gdk-x11-2.0 comes with the gdk2 packages.

installing libgtk2.0-dev and libgdk-pixbuf2 should do the trick
