For a download test I pulled from one of the servers at work - OC-3
connection - and was able to get ~125KBytes/sec via HTTP/Lynx and
~155Kbytes/sec via ftp. That's enough to max my DSL line, which is good
enough for me. Test file was the EigerStein2BETA package archive, and it
