It seems like you are reached root directory files limit.
I tested it on VM with ~1G storage - all is OK.
I'll try to force bigger root directory size (IMHO 512 entries should be
enough for all)

" no space left on device"
while copying packages.
df -h shows:
unused space of 164M for /dev/sda1
and 8MB fo

that it'll be good to add 'install to hdd' item into menu. And when user
