Thanks for the response. This board is an Nforce 2 unit. It turns out
the forcedeth.o in the modules tarball works fine.

Not sure. You could try the sis900 driver (which seems to have realtek
8201 code inside) or any of the realtek drivers (8139too, 8139cp, r8169
..) or the generic ne2k-pci.
