Shorewall by default disables ping - is it not?

can ping the Bering machine from an internal host, and I can ping an
internet host from the Bering machine. But I cannot ping an internet

Hello,
I am running Bering v1.0rc3 and I can't get it to bring up either of the
interfaces. I have 2 Belkin F5D5000 NIC's which have Realtek 8139 chipsets.
I have loaded mii, 8139cp, and 8139too modules and it will not bring them
up.
