 Hi list

one more question: si there a procedure to add the correct IDE driver
 to my system?
Are there some docs about adding additional modules in initrd package?

 Thanks in advance

 Hi Graziano,

Presumably you still have a problem with this?

There is currently no documented procedure for editing initrd.lrp, but
there should be so I will add that to the Wiki User Guide today. (It is
not so hard but the cpio command syntax is a little strange if you are
not used to it - I always have to refer to notes myself.)

Have you been able to check whether the kernel Module(s) the net4501
needs are present in modules.tgz? If not, are they part of the standard
Linux kernel source code (and hence can be added with a change to the
 kernel .config)?

 Erich,
thanks for answer. I agree with you.

Will there be future support for net4501?

 cheers
 Graziano

   Hello list,

I'm trying to install LEAF 4 i486 in a Soekris Engineering net4501 (CPU
AMD Elan SC520, 64Mb RAM) with no success.
During boot, on my serial console i can see:

   Loading /syslinux/linux.
   Loading /initrd.lrpready..

   but nothing more...
The same compact flash boots correctly on a Soekris Engineeering net4801
(CPU AMD Geode 266, 128 MB RAM).
I have used the Bering-uClibc_4.0-beta2_i486_syslinux_ser.tar.gz file
   for this test installation

   Any Ideas?
IDE drivers for the SC520 are probably not in your initrd.

   cheers

[leaf-user] help with p9100.lrp

2011-04-22 Thread Jim Munro

I can’t get the p9100 package to print. It worked fine in 3.1. Here are some
log messages.

 From lpr.log

Apr 23 03:07:57 vfirewall2 p9100d[2976]: Connection from :::192.168.1.2
port 6206 acceptedApr 23 03:07:57 vfirewleaf-user@lists.sourceforge.netall2
p9100d[2976]: /dev/lp0: No such file or directoryApr 23 03:07:57 vfirewall2
p9100d[2976]: /dev/lp0: No such file or directory, will try opening later

From /etc/modules

# Parallel port support

parport

parport_pc

parport_serial

#lp

I cant find a lp.ko module anywhere and there doesn’t appear
to be a /dev/lp0 entry.
