[leaf-user] hdsupp - issue solved

2013-09-21 Thread Jim Munro
Thanks Andrew!. Increasing syst_size to 60M solved it. Looking back I guess I
really had 2 issues, this one and the fact that I had left an internal compact
flash in the PC without completely disabling it in the BIOS. The PC was booted
from a thumb drive and the hdsupp package(s) was loaded by leaf.cfg on the
thumb drive. Once hdsupp loaded, leaf.cfg was read from the internal CF
causing packages to load that were not specified in leaf.cfg on the thumb
drive. This lead to a lengthy troubleshooting session. It's all tidied up
now. Tip - remove or completely disable internal storage that you not longer
need.

[leaf-user] hdsupp

2013-09-20 Thread Jim Munro
Hi all,

It seems that loading hdsupp in leaf.cfg breaks selection f)Find and
load modules for hardware in the configuration menu. Noticed when I did
an upgrade from a pre 4.3 release to 5.0.1. Causes tar: write error: No
space left on device. In the end, I discovered I no longer need to use
this package.

Hi.
It seems like there is no enough free space into ram disk. You should
just increase syst_size into leaf.cfg.

Re: [Leaf-user] Hdsupp package for dachstein CD 1.0.2

2001-12-11 Thread Charles Steinkuehler

I'm trying to upgrade my installations to dachstein cd and I didn't found
the hdsupp hdsupp_s packages
can I use the old ones from charles' site ?

You should be able to...at least I haven't heard from anyone who's had
problems with them yet, and several folks have reported getting HDD installs
working...

[Leaf-user] Hdsupp and hdsupp_s.lrp

2001-11-02 Thread Etienne Charlier

Hi,

A few days ago, I set up a hard disk on my leaf
system ( tu use squid It works)

Ifollowed theCharles's hard disk howto
(thanks Charles).
I used the hdsupp.lrp and hdsupp_s.lrp from
lrp.steinkuehler.net but is seems that
one shared library is missing from the hdsupp_s
package.
/lib/libuuid.so.1

is there a newer version somewhere ??

Thank in advance
Etienne Charlier
