OK folks, here is the latest on upgradeThe current version is broken due to a new function which was supposed to prevent a misleading error message. There is a fix for that on the git maint repository.
So I jumped into the cold water and upgraded my sturdy old 5.2.2 alix to --latest, no surprise there were a few surprises.
The content of quite a number of packages has changed and the format of a few configuration files have changed too which made it difficult for upgrade to patch them all. Using the files saved during the patch it was easy to port my modifications to the new formats.
On top of that, the new modules.sqfs file was not copied as 5.2.2 did not have any of that. This made the boot process cough at first try, but once I copied modules.sqfs to storage, bingo, my old alix is running 6.0.3 and even the two radios work without a hitch, actually I am using this little beast to talk to the world.
