   What kind of time frame do you anticipate for the updated versions?
(Even when they're "ready" it takes time for new packages to be
uploaded and accepted...)

   If you don't consider them ready yet for wider use, I would still
like to get some preliminary steps completed:

1) Register the intent to package them for Debian (ITP).

2) Create public git repositories specifically for the packaging.
(Which can be set to indicate that the packaging is still in progress
and/or pending newer versions being available.)

   Note also that when the packaging is far enough along, I could make
them available at least for Ubuntu systems at the Launchpad LSMB
package archive.
