Try out Activus
This is excellent information, though
I'm not clear on exactly what is a "taxform" and how LedgerSMB
uses it.
Thanks.

Back to where I was 3 weeks ago - the 1.2 dbase seems ok, but it will not
update to 1.3. Has anyone actually achieved this or am I trying to do the
impossible? Looks like the company will probably go bust now, can't find stock
in the stores, no stock control, unable to produce accounts etc etc..
Well, progress I got setup to work, and I can log into ledgersmb ok - but
there's no data!
I couldn't get pg_restore -U postgres -C data.sqlc to work at all - I just got
numbers whizzing by in the terminal, so I resorted to restoring through
pgAdminIII. All the expected tables are there I
Right, fixed it!
the comment in ledgersmb is corrrect that contrib_dir should be
/usr/share/postgresql/9.1/extension - some of the assorted installation guides
say it should be /usr/share/postgresql/9.1/contrib, thats where I was going
wrong.
Now to try updating the dbase...
Cheers
Richa
ok, after finding and unwanted '#' in ledgersmb.conf I'm now getting
Error!
Cannot find Contrib script tablefunc.control in
/usr/share/postgresql/9.1/extension/contrib/.
Please point your contrib_dir directive in your ledgersmb.conf to the
appropriate location
tablefunc.control is at /usr/
A bit more info...
/usr/share/pgsql/ is not there - there's a postgressql and a postgressql-common
in /share but no pgsql. Is that a postgres installproblem - would re-instalilng
postgres fix it withoout messing up other stuff?
Cheers

Hi Chris,
it's 9.1 and contrib is installed.
ledgersmb.conf is here:
/etc/dbconfig-common/ledgersmb.conf
but it's and empty file - I'm certain that's not right!
Is the above the correct location correct? If not, where should it be?
Cheers
Richard
