We've been trying to add sales invoices programmatically to
LedgerSMB. After a test run, AR transactions are displayed in AR -

These are definitely transactions that
involve inventory. If backporting is not much trouble, that's
probably the way to go. We've not yet upgraded to latest in 1.3
series; we wanted to get this deployed first. Perhaps you can
upgrade when backporting.
Just added a few things here.
For 1.3, only non-inventory transactions can be saved without posting. the
critical piece that allows this to work with inventory is already in 1.4,
just going through the testing process. If you need it I could back port
