[LU] Passing backwards

2014-08-16 Thread Matt Anderson
This is driving me mad. Doing well to keep the ball and not hoof. But how many times have we kept it from the edge of their area right back into our own half!  I know this is modern football but get it in the box. Can't win the lottery without buying a ticket.  Sent from Samsung Mobile

Well, at least we've won, with a clean sheet, and most importantly, as the Hock says in his post match comments, the lads put a shift in. Pop open a grand cru. -- On 16 Aug 2014, at 14:21, Dr Michael Benjamin m...@myray.com wrote: Good players and a bad team means a lousy Coach. On 16 Aug

..I know I'll jinx it, but could this be shaping up to be the mythical Golden Weekend? Leeds win with a late goal from our new strikerVan Bastard's glorious new reign at The Theatre of Delusions looks like it is going to start with a pathetic defeat at home to

Great to see the result. shame I did an early gym so i could watch the game at 3. All the live streams of course have dried up. Any idea where there's a playback? Of course I could resubscribe to LUTV. I finally gave up on that during the Bates era. Any users care to recommend or not? I'd only

You know I'm normally the first to moan about passing backwards and sideways that but didn't get that from them today. I'll re visit the match later. Key thing for me were that we need better midfielders. Murphy and Austin are not up to it. Both Doukara and Sharp need a creative midfield to

[LU] 'boro

2014-08-16 Thread Nick
I’ll take this for a win. Boro are a big, rough arsed team. Quite happy to stick it in, and mix it up. But with our two newest men, Cooper and Sharp, making steady debuts we looked solid if uninspiring. At least Hunt wasn’t lining up. I notice that someone thought before the match that Austin

Agree with almost everything. Three observations: 1) the touch from Poleon to Tonge for the goal was good. 2) Warnock was MOM. And I don't like Warnock. 3) Austin ALWAYS passes backwards when under pressure. I guess it is better than giving it away, but we really need somebody a bit more clever

Not the greatest game or the greatest performance ever BUT what a day, what a great result etc. We went with plenty of trepidation post Millwall and given all the plaudits Boro have had the first two weeks of the season, and we all pretty much agreed that 0 0 would be good and all we really
