In an office environment where I am currently working, everyone uses a shared W
Drive and all have full access to this.
It seems that when copying/moving/deleting files that the Windows 7 PCs quite

Have had similar problems, which was something to do with read/write
permissions but as I'm not IT, can't give you the technical answer. Sorry.
presumably everyone is a read
check out CIFS oplocks and maybe turn them off. I suspect XP doesnt use the
same version of CIFS oplocks.
Be in the know of what version of SMB is being used. I think 2.1 is the
latest.
