Day started early for me in 'Spoons and there seemed to be a lot of optimism
around. Conditions were terrible but we started exactly the same way as we did
against West Brom. Great football and they didn't really have a kick in the
first 30 mins. We missed chance after chance as shots were

I read an article last Thursday on the Official site saying they go on sale
tomorrow? It didn't say a time though.
Strange if the article has gone, it was in the "News" section?
Ted.

Very fair I would say. Except I still rate okane more than you. Phillips we
agree on. I really want Alioski to come good probably cos of living in
Switzerland and having some weird affinity for FC Lugano. But tbh he is really
disappointing lately. Thought he started the season well. I am giving
Interestingly it seems Duffy is a bit of a journeyman and in his early 30s if I
heard the commentary right. Strange how some players who look really good just
don’t make it sometimes.

Cooper went off with a dead leg. Looked like he started with one to me.
I think we lost because we played one up front against 3 centre halves.
That allowed two of them to easily manage Lasogga and gave them an extra
man in midfield. Every loose ball in the middle was picked up by them.
I can
First goal I thought was Anita and Viera letting their man go - he drifted off
the back of them and had acres of time and space to pick his cross. Not sure
you can blame the marking in the middle - one cb had to shift to cover the

I was very impressed with the way Sheff Utd started. They played some of the
best football I've seen for a while and all their players seemed to know where
each other were and in Duffy they had the man of the match and the most
intelligent footballer I've seen for a while. I'd

Sad to see Sheff Utd go down
Sad to see Sheff Utd go down!
I notice Collins was left on the bench today but Doyle and Lowry played and
Cresswell was also used as a sub. If you include Montgomery as a Leeds
youth player and Micky Adams as the boss and Trevor Birch as CEO there's a
right Leeds influence there!
Settling into my new season ticket now I'm back in the LOTG, and the
Sheff Utd match was like being parachuted back 20 years to an early
Wilko match in many ways. Blood, guts, long diagonal punts to gain
field position in their half etc.
Team selection raised an interesting poser. If you think a
Totally agree re Kilkenny. I was thinking during the Donkeys match what a
superb player he is, how he really ought to be playing at a higher level, and
how lucky we are to have him. (Was it the Donkey manager who said that every
