I had to read this mail twice to assure myself that you weren't some callous
bastid willing to put a little boy out of his misery because he wasn't fit
to play football.

A shame really because over the years we could have done with someone like
that in the Elland Rd treatment room ;)

I thought it was a follow up on the Jackson Trial.

Seriously I was touched...
If it's serious and I think that it was, I really identify with both father
and son.
As for both they can take a lot of pride in their guts and determination.
It's the beating of a problem that is the real success. Learning how to do
that is the real and best education.
Sometimes you have to fail to make the eventual success that will surely
come significant.

Reach for the sick buckets --- maybe. But I believe it.

Hope he gets off the bench and plays a blinder. But getting off the bench is
also good.

@ Ian
I agree, seeing Man City frittering their money away is funny. But we
all think that, if we had it, we'd pay £200,000 a week to play at that
level, never mind all the Bentleys, Ferraris, Mansions and whores that
come with being a prem footballer.
So, I feel sorry for a bloke that has come to hate our game (that is the
greatest game on Earth), so much that he suddenly refuses to play. If
you don't want to play football at hat level, how shit must your life be?

@ Damian
I'm not quite that callous :D

@: Mike: Today he's been great - steroids are fantastic sometimes. He
managed a full 90 minutes training and followed it up with standing all
game in the Gelderd, so we've got him sorted and tomorrow he starts in
midfield. He's a tidy but unspectacular little player. Keeps the teams
shape, tracks back, spots a good simple pass. More Batty than Snodgrass
(who had his best game of the season so far today, BTW).
The original post was made just bcause a) I was bit pissed and b) the
obvious contrast between a boy who loves playing and a supremely
talented pro who seemingly doesn't was too strong to ignore.

Anyway, a win, a clean sheet and we didn't need to rely on Becchio to
batter our way out of the mire!
