LL:URL: Free web forum for your union - at LabourStart
Does your trade union website (if your union has a website) offer you a web forum or online bulletin board where you can talk with fellow members about what really matters? If not, why not? Maybe the reason was the difficulty of setting up such a forum. Or maybe the cost -- after all, you need a professional web host to do this right. And the free web forums you can get always come with lots of unwanted advertising. As of today, there are no more excuses. LabourStart is pleased to announce that it is making web forums available to any trade union which wants one. For free. With no intrusive advertising. We've set up a special web forums area on the LabourStart website which we recommend you visit right away. Here's the address: http://www.labourstart.org/forums.shtml If you were a participant in the Labour Webmasters Forum, the new forum is already up and running here. Unfortunately, you will have to re-register to participate. (This will take you less than a minute, and we apologize for the inconvenience.) The new forum software is light years ahead of what we were using, and includes such desired features as previewing of messages and email notification when someone has replied to your message. We think it's now a terrific place for trade unionists (and not only webmasters) to meet. If you want a web forum for your union, just drop me a line and we'll set one up -- usually within 24 hours. Looking forward to meeting you the LabourStart Web Forums.
