The Federal Government has chosen the company, INVAP, as its preferred tenderer to design and build the reactor. The project will cost about $280 million and the reactor is expected to be commissioned in 2005. Industry, Science and Resources Minister Nick Minchin says INVAP will work with two Australian companies on the project. "The INVAP bid together with its Australian partners did offer the best combination of high performance...and the best building layout," he said. "I'd also point out that the INVAP bid offered the highest value-added local content at 53 per cent." -- Leftlink - Australia's Broad Left Mailing List mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.alexia.net.au/~www/mhutton/index.html Sponsored by Melbourne's New International Bookshop Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Body=subscribe%20leftlink Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Body=unsubscribe%20leftlink
