20 years ago when I was making pens, I would use any
wood I could come across. My 3 favorites:
toobough Fir (AKA 2X4)
Road kill
Hay Mike how about those Dunnage pallets found on every military base around
the world. Now there some nice wood in them pallets! Ive found blood wood, and
purple hart + swamp oak... ;-) That's where I got my first woods, I just
figured you might have done much the same.
