I use my legacy to round out turning blanks all the time. WAY less
scary and faster too.

carriage as a “follower” rather than the fixed position solutions. Would
be a good bit tricky but might work better for long spindles

Very clever. I think I like it. I have a lot of rough saw stock that
needs a flat side before I take it to the planer. This looks to be perfect
for the job. Well done!

Looks like it might be missing a tail stock as well. The real question is
whether the rest of the goodies are with it.

Very credible! I would imagine that the linear rails, at lease the x-axis
ones, greatly increases the rigidity of the machine. Why did you place the
router out so far from the z-axis? Does it have enough rigidity to produce
accurate work?

Check Fastcap.com, leevalley.com, or perhaps rockier.

I’ve found the original assembly manual to my 1200 as well as the Z axis
assembly manual. Is there any interest in my scanning and posting them?
About 60 pages all together.

Yes, but free wood is the best of all...

I have uploaded four old Legacy Mill related videos to the shared document
site. They ain't great but if you are desperate, they may help. The
following is a sharable link to the parent directory. You will find them
in the Videos folder.
My contribution to the community... I will be adding my legacy docs and
sources here for all. Anyone with files that you wish to share drop them in
the Upload directory as I have enabled open sharing on it. Periodically I will
organize and move it up to the read only directory below.

I’m a new member to the group and a long time Legacy Mill owner. (I bought the
display model off the show floor at the Seattle Woodworkers show.)
I have a 1200 with power feed and about every attachment that Legacy has made
for it. I have used it on a number of small projects but my single
