I like the template idea of indexing. its simple and there is no counting of
all those little holes. (holes in the indexing plates.) I have in the past
used colored self stick dots to mark the holes. I have also used Sharpe's to
mark the plates. If done right

Here is yet another way to use those magnetic sheets. cut them into
small pie shaped pieces about 3/4 long. Do a hole count and place the
point of the pie at each hole you will be using. That way, after the
first time you count, each hole will be already marked and ready
