I needed a smaller one for some gears. I just turned down a piece of rod. Drilled a hole in a piece of aluminum and turns a knob shape on it. The aluminum part needs to be the same for all stylus sizes and just change the bore and rod diameters. If that helps any? From:

I was understanding that the "standard" Legacy CNC upgrade package had servo motors that were connected directly to the Acme lead screws on the X,Y and Z axis and the headstock... the "performance" package was a rack and pinion setup that basically replaced the acme screws on the X and Y axis,

Most of the index pins legacy sold are steel dowel pins pressed into the aluminum holder. They were only used if you ordered the upgraded z axis. There was an updated follower designed that took those pins as well. Curt made a version for himself a long time ago. Maybe he has the photos
