I now build one-off furniture, tables, and accessories, boxes, etc. just part time/hobby. I have used my shopsmith lathe for several turnings but brought a few projects to my uncle’s shop to use his legacy. The exact, repeatable details impressed me and I had to get one. I purchased a 1000 model this past weekend off of EBay and drove from Louisiana to Tampa Florida to pick it up.
