I have all my census images attached as sound files.
Although they were previously working I find that they now won’t open. Have tried changing from legacy player to windows media player.
But get a message saying there is currently no default player on my system.
There is and it is
First question- which version are you using? 6.0.0.110?
I checked for that error number and didn't see it.

IF that does not work, it is time to get Support's attention!

Hi Nina,
Yes - but make sure you haven't used the Alt. Birth Description field
as there is no corresponding field for Birth.
Highlight the Alt. Birth you wish to swap then click on the Options
button and click Swap with Birth Information. Sources and notes are
also swapped.

Its strange - I've been in the Picture Centre before, but never have done
much with it - but there were no problems. My pictures are working fine in

Laura,
Try deleting the .DBM files in the Legacy folder on the hard drive and

Not at present I'm afraid. Previous discussion has given many ways of

Please don't send attachments to the Legacy User Group. Many of the listers
are on dial-up or limited time online and sending attachments can be a big
problem for them!
Jeff, it looks like your questions were answered without the need for the
lister to view the attachments!
It sounds like when you're on the Assigned Sources window, that you need to
be sure to have a checkmark next to Show all events. I think things will
work as you expected when that is turned on.

I do not think that this is off topic. I just learned that when you hit the

Hi Cathy,
One learns something everyday! Mind you I've never wanted print out all my
sources like that. Come to think of it, it would probably be a book in
itself so I don't think I'll bother.

The superscript indicates where a source would appear if one is attached
to the event. The sentence you see in the event definition is a sample
of how the sentence would appear in a report if a source is attached. To

The JPEG and GIF files should be connected as pictures, that is what
they are. The Word Documents should open if you have Microsoft Word
installed on your computer. If you do not have Microsoft Word installed
then that is why they cannot be opened.

Brian,

they are hard to read. When they opened as sound files they opened
