I have done something similar in error, and found I
had three almost identical DB with enough variances to
drive me nuts. What I did, was add the three DBs to
the same file in this way. They were about 2 each.
First, I went to Customize Other in each DB.
Under Custom USER ID Numbers, choose Fil

Legacy Pedigree report doesn't have. I just ran the P.
report and it did exactly that. You may want to pick
4,5, or 6 generations to a page, but that doesn't seem
to be your need. Are you asking how to create a more

I don't like the [--?--] so just put the relevant information in the

Canada that appear as incomplete because there is no county in my Legacy
database. When I use Geocode, I don't find a county for Canadian
locations.

I have an individual male with several children, born of two wives.
Three of the children are by the first wife, but one of those three somehow was
showing up as the son of a third (nonexistent) wife - apparently something that
happened during the import from TMG several weeks ago.

a son by an unknown (so far, at least) woman. I have not entered any
information for the mother. The "relationship calculator" correctly
finds this son to be my 1/2 great-granduncle. The "set relationships"

just for MY information..When printing a report the choices you make
for printing kick in so if you want to
see --?-- that would be the choice you make Conceivably you might
make different choices for different reports.
Also check that Legacy has not somehow added an extra set of "Unknown"
parents when you see someone who appears to be unlinked. If Legacy
thinks there is n\more than one set of parents there will be a number on
the Parent Icon under their name in family view.

expect it to work for you since when you gave the unknown a fake name it fixed
the relationship until you changed it back to unknown, right?

Is there a recommended way of tracking various individuals who have either a
long-term or momentary relationship? Examples would be servants, clergymen,
slaves, etc.
For now, I can only see recording various notes and (in some cases) keeping
track of separate families which I can "publish"

When you delete someone from a family file, you run the risk of breaking
several family relationships. For example, if you delete a married man as a
child, then you also delete him as a husband and a father (if he has
children). Most of the time unlinking is best.

mother of, say, an illigitimate child then clearly that relationship exists
irrespective of the father. I previously gave an example from my own tree where
such a relationship exists and *is* displayed.
