Hi Mary, with the individuals screen up click the Show Master Location List button at the end of the address, in the next screen click the Edit button, in the pop-up screen either backspace to take out the commas or add in new information and then click save. This is the only way I have found

Mary, I should have mentioned that if you go to SearchSearch and Replace, select Location Lists and enter , , ( no inverted commas) with , it will eliminate them. There would still be a problem with the locations which start with a single or double comma however. Ron Ferguson

Dennis, Yes, Legacy allows you to work in an environment such as this. When the database is opened for a second time, you'll get a message warning you that it appears that this family file is opened by another user It will explain a couple of things. After clicking OK, you're free to work

On the Family/Pedigree views, on the particular person, click the icon that looks like a temple. On the descendant views, you can customize what is displayed by clicking on Options - Customize Columns. You can select a BEPSC column, or add whichever one individually. (Same with the index view)

*Starting* with a single or double comma isn't a problem - there is a Report option to remove *leading* commas in locations. The problem is redundant commas *within* locations. I now realise these aren't confined to so-called UK locations but appear in many other countries, e.g. Ypres, ,

One of the ways is to create a person, add all the sources to be moved to him/her, then gedcom one person to the other file. It will carry all the sources to the new file, then attach to the new files' persons, then remove fake person. You will need to unattach the sources from him first. BUT ADD
