I think I answered this a few days ago. You are probably seeing the index codes. If you don't want an index, regenerate the document and they won't be put in. If you do want an index. Don't try to get rid of them or you won't be able to generate an index. You don't have to view them. Check

Richard, Sherry had answered a similar question like this a little while ago saying (I think) that sources would clutter up charts, so that is why they aren't an option. I think you could do a workaround if you don't mind some hand writing and cut and pasting. I would do an Ancestor book report

Use the Publishing Center which is under reportsbooks / other. It can produce any number of various reports and then a consolidated index for the entire run. It also numbers the pages so the collection does not look like it was stapled together from disparatly produced reports. Ron Taylor
