your screen? What is the format? Are they garbled characters or

If you don't want an index, regenerate the document and they won't be put in.

Sherry had answered a similar question like this a little while ago
saying (I think) that sources would clutter up charts, so that is why
they aren't an option.
I think you could do a workaround if you don't mind some hand writing
and cut and pasting. I would do an Ancestor book report
I would definitely like to see this functionality added. I have often seen
pedigree charts with citations and would love to be able to do it in Legacy.
So far, this issue has been one of the few that I have had with the
software.

No promises but if on Legacy Home you click the Options button at the
top right then Options on the pop-up you can click never connect to the
internet unless alink is clicked. If this doesn't work please come back and

Use the Publishing Center which is under reportsbooks / other. It can
produce any number of various reports and then a consolidated index for the
entire run. It also numbers the pages so the collection does not look like
it was stapled together from disparatly produced reports.

clicked the check for update button on the legacy Home page (I think it is
only there on the de-lux version).

I use the place name as it was at the time of the event and then edit the
place name and in the notes section I tell where it is currently located. Or
you could also ad an alternate location for the event stating that this is
where the event occured if it happened today.

the Merge icon, then Find Duplicates/Continue/Special Duplicate
Searches, then Use IntelliShare. How do I tell the program which Legacy
file to compare with the Keeper's copy? I'm not given that opportunity

You first have to import the files from other researchers into the
Keeper's copy of the file. Then use Intellishare to find and merge the
duplicate people this import creates if their data has not changed.
