I can only guess if the woman didn't have a father, you accidently
clicked in the blank father box, rather than the large box above her
name. When you click in the father box, it says Add an Individual -
it doesn't use the word Father. But when you click on the spouse box,
it asks Add a Husband.

although I would like some flexibility as to which tags I do show. But not
at the expense of more important changes.

I do believe that you can already do that at the Advanced Tagging
screen. You can choose which 3 of the 9 tags that you want to show.

My suggestion for the future would be on the 'Family' screen, once I have
sourced my information for the subject (i.e. birth/death etc) to change
colour on that screen, not just the 'Individual' screen.

I have a slight problem with Legacy when I use it on my laptop.
It appears to be too large for my screen. There is about an inch at the bottom
and about the same on the right side of the screen that is not seen.

If you double click the upper band of the Legacy it should maximize,
meaning that the Legacy window will size itself to the sceen dimensions.
Alternatively, you may just resize it

Certificate. I then go to the individual and click Cite a Master Source. I
select the death certificate and then I select it and am returned to the
Assigned sources for window. In the Events column this entry is blank.

Have you checked the Marriage Note in question?
Make sure there aren't empty paragraphs at the bottom? If you can
place the cursor lower than the last full stop, you've got empty paragraphs.
Delete everything from the last full stop down.
