Have you imported these folks recently? It appears as though they
somehow got duplicated during a recent import. The solution is to do
a merge and merge them all togetherthen your linkages should be
correct. You can verify this by looking on family view and seeing

Thanks for your reply Kathy.
No they were not from a recent import and I have no idea how this
problem occurred.
I did try to merge the two Patrick's but you can not merge two people
with the same RIN.

Are what you are calling your step brothers and sisters the children of a
spouse from an earlier marriage? If so all you need to do is attach them to
the correct parents and they won't show as 1/2s (they won't show as step
siblings either). Or am I missing something?

The only thing that I would add to this, especially if you
have not done it before, is to FIRST make a backup copy of your
database. Then, if things do not work out as you expected, you can
recover easily.

Marliea,
I am not at all sure that I agree with your definition of 1/2 siblings in so
far as it is based on having a common biological parent. Particularly, I would
suggest, in view of the adoptions you would be 1/2 by adoption at least.
If you attach them to the correct parents as biological
